Subnovii Plasma Pen
Subnovii Plasma Pen
Dr. James Sherman, our Medical Director added the Subnovii Plasma Pen as a nonsurgical treatment to treat fine lines and wrinkles effectively. The subnovii plasma pen delivers surgical-like results with minimal downtime. This device uses advanced plasma technology with LF+ technology that is now FDA cleared as the latest medical device of its kind. The method used is often referred to as the fibroblasting method. Patients only require local anesthesia and downtime time is 7-14 days on average depending on the area treated, patient’s age, and other life-style factors.
How Does The Plasma Pen Treatment Work?
Plasma pen treatments emit energy that instantly sublimates a precise spot on the skin area. A sealed wound is created and shock delivered to the tissue below to stimulate fibroblast activity which stimulates collagen, elastin fibers and hyaluronic acid.
The tip of the Subnovii plasma device should never actually touch the skin but it’s the power of molecular physics that gives this treatment its magic and certainly has the ability to lift and tighten the skin and erases fine lines and wrinkles.
Dr. Sherman will determine whether you are a good candidate for plasma pen treatments when you visit us for your consultation. The first step in learning more is to book your consultation with Dr. Sherman at New Skin Medical Spa.
The Subnovii Plasma Pen Treatment
Because the Subnovii plasma device creates an instant wound on the skin, small scabs will form that can take 7-10 days to fall off. The scabs are a natural and protective barrier to the magic taking place below. Because the treatment area is immediately sealed, there is a very low risk of side effects but the skin may feel tight and itchy as the area heals. Once the scabs all off, the skin beneath may look pink. This is renewed skin and any redness should progressively fade.
